Retirement/New Director for Engineering Department

Last week we said “Happy Retirement” to Roger Ruis after 42 years of service. Roger served as The Director of Engineering, and under his leadership, great things were accomplished.

“It’s been a very exciting 42 years,” said Roger. “The City of Moultrie has great people to work with,” he continued. Under his direction over 62 miles of roads were resurfaced and over 27 miles of roads were paved.

City Manager Pete Dillard announced Greg Monfort as the new Director of Engineering. Greg has been employed in the Engineering department since 1984. 

“I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated,” said Greg. Greg will manage five employees and various tasks. “I take pride in making sure the job is well done,” he continued.

Roger, we wish you the best and thank you for your service. Greg, we look forward to great things under your leadership.
