General Nature of Work:
Performs duties under both the Warehouse Supervisor and the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Maintains a perpetual record of stock supply levels by ordering and reordering; orders materials as determined by such records of usage; operates forklift and performs warehouse maintenance including unloading delivery trucks; assist with inventory of warehouse material, supplies and documents; maintains appropriate inventory records; issues materials and supplies to personnel; assist with testing transformers for PCB contamination; performs custodial duties at various City facilities.
Training and Experience:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with some vocational training and previous experience in warehousing, storage operations, and custodial duties; ability to proficiently operate a computer with inventory software; knowledge of warehouse record requirements and departmental supplies and materials; knowledge of departmental warehouse policies and procedures; ability to perform physical labor with occasional heavy lifting; and possess a valid driver’s license.
