The Information Technology department provides support to existing technology in the City of Moultrie and assists in planning, purchasing, and implementing new technologies as needed to support the mission of the City. The department accomplishes this by providing support to current city technical infrastructures, including desktops, laptops, printers, servers, perimeter security devices, telephony, wireless and portable devices. We work across departmental lines to assist in planning and implementing new technology hardware and software, which increases the ability of these departments to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively.
The mission of the Information Technology department is to make technology an asset for the administration and staff of the City of Moultrie, allowing them to provide a high level of service to the citizens of the City of Moultrie. We will accomplish this by providing first-class customer service, reliable and modern infrastructure, and strategic, cost-effective solutions to technology needs throughout the city government.
The Information Technology department provides technical support to over 175 staff members in 14 different departments, maintains and administers file and print servers, UTM devices, city email systems, manage switching systems, telephony systems as well as supports and maintains various departmental software packages.
