SUMMARY:Couples Ballroom Dancing Workshop at The Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:This introductory workshop will cover partnership for both lead and follow. In the first class we will be learning the basic step of the foxtrot. We will be learning how to move in sync with our partners while also learning to identify musical beats and applying musicality to our dance. After this first workshop we will gauge the interest in regularly weekly classes and survey students to find a day and time that works well for the majority to continue lessons. \nRegular students can expect to be able to dance comfortably to any song! Learning how to recognize what song goes to what dance thus allowing you to social dance anywhere that music is playing. We will begin each week with a verbal expression of the dance and pattern we will be working on. The Instructor will then demonstrate the steps for lead and follow. After demonstrating the instructor will go around and help individually while others experiment with the given steps. \nAttire: Lightweight non-stick tennis shoes\, casual/comfortable clothes for the introductory class.
