“To reach a port we must set sail –
Sail, not tie at anchor
Sail, not drift.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt

Together with Colquitt County and private property owners, we have set sail on Mule Barn Park. This project will correct subgrade issues, drainage issues while eliminating blight.  Once the project is complete, it will include parking and green space connecting governmental offices, restaurants and downtown businesses.

  • Phase I includes water, gas and electric infrastructure upgrades, curb and gutter improvements, lighting, and storm drainage improvements, parking, and dumpster pads.
  • Phase II will include landscaping.
  • Phase III will consist of the continuation of our streetscape project with sidewalks along East Central Avenue and 2nd Street.

The estimated completion date is set to coincide with the Spring Fling Festival, April 20-21.
