City Accepts $500,000 Grant

A check for half a million dollars was presented to Mayor Bill McIntosh today. Georgia Department of Community Affairs Regional Representative, Gina Webb, presented Mayor McIntosh a grant check from the One Georgia Authority. The city applied for the $500,000 grant to help expand city utility infrastructure, including water and sewer, to serve the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine site. Council members Cecil Barber, Wilma Hadley, Lisa Clarke Hill, and Angela Castellow assisted Mayor McIntosh in the check presentation. Project supporters from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber and Moultrie-Colquitt Development Authority also attended.
