Utility Assistance Program

City of Moultrie utility customers may elect to contribute to the Utility Assistance Program via their monthly utility bills. The Utility Assistance Program provides financial assistance to our neighbors who need help paying for utility services. The program is funded by customer contributions and is administered solely by the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council (CAC).

To participate in the Utility Assistance Program, you can pledge to contribute $1, $2, $5, or any other whole dollar amount you choose. The amount you select will be added to your utility bill each month. The money then goes to CAC for disbursement to those in need. For individuals and families seeking assistance, eligibility requirements for assistance through the program are established by CAC, and CAC processes requests for assistance.

To contribute to the program, please indicate on your utility bill the amount you wish to donate, or contact Customer Service at 229-873-3126 for an enrollment form. Contributions to Southwest Georgia Community Action Council are tax deductible.

If you are in need of assistance, please contact the CAC at 229-985-3610.
