Potential Starting Salary Range:

$14.00/hour or depending upon experience (DUE)

General Nature of Work:

Works under the direct supervision of the Street Crew Leader in new construction and maintenance of Public Works activities and infrastructure involving light to heavy equipment, as well as hand labor. Operates light to heavy construction equipment including small tractor, backhoe, bulldozer, front-end loader, small dump truck, asphalt patcher and sewer jetter in the maintenance and new construction of roads, drainage structures, sidewalks, and other City facilities. Must be able to perform strenuous outdoor physical labor. At times, may work as secondary crew leader in work activities as instructed by the Street Crew Leader. Shares on-call duties of after-hours service calls.

Training and Experience:

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with some experience in construction and maintenance duties associated with Public Works activities. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
