Equipment Operator II

Department:

Public Works – Beautification

Potential Starting Salary Range:

$15.00/hour or depending upon experience (DUE)

General Nature of Work:

Works alone, as crew member, and as crew leader in the installation and maintenance of City infrastructure, including growing, planting, and maintaining various plants, trees, shrubs, and turf; right-of-way and cemetery mowing; mosquito spraying; and pruning trees with a bucket truck. Operates heavy and light equipment including water truck, bucket truck, small tractor, backhoe, dump truck, mosquito truck, mower, weed-eater, and blower. Performs other duties as assigned.

Training and Experience:

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with some experience in landscaping maintenance. Must have experience in the operation and scheduled maintenance of equipment required for the
job. Must possess a valid Class B CDL.
