Potential Starting Salary Range:

$40,404 (Salary based on qualification and experience)

General Nature of Work:

Provides direct supervision to Corporals and Patrol Officers; assists Lieutenant and 1st Sergeants with administrative and training duties; reviews reports submitted by subordinates; patrols specific beat in patrol car and investigates suspicious conditions and complaints. Assigned newly certified peace officers in the Field Training Program.

Training and Experience:

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, Georgia P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified peace officer, hold the rank of Corporal with the Moultrie Police Department, or five (5) years proven patrol experience, certified Speed Detection Operator, certified as a Field Training Officer, certified in Intoxilyzer 9000, completed Standardized Field Sobriety Training, completed Crisis Intervention Training. Must successfully complete a written examination and successfully navigate an oral interview board. Must be able to obtain certification as a Speed Detection Operator and Field Training Officer upon acceptance of this position.
