Moultrie is privileged to be a public power community and has been providing this valuable service for over 100 years. As a member of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG), we provide electric service for homes and businesses at competitive rates. The City of Moultrie currently serves electricity to over 6,500 customers.
Four distribution substations and 160 miles of distribution lines bring over 185,000,000 kilowatt-hours annually to local consumers. All of this energy comes from generating plants we jointly own with other cities and power companies. Our crews are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure reliable electric service.
For more information about electric service or to report a power outage, call our Utility Department at 229-668-6000.
