Why are we celebrating Oktoberfest in September?
Great question! The world’s original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany actually begins in September, not October. The festival was moved earlier over a century ago to take advantage of Bavaria’s warmer weather and longer days, and it has remained that way ever since. By celebrating on September 19, we’re keeping with the authentic Oktoberfest tradition.
