HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE: CAMPGROUND AVAILABILITY
The City of Moultrie campground will be open to Hurricane Isaias evacuees now through October 13.
The first three days will be at no charge for evacuees.
Please note that campground availability is limited due to saturated ground conditions from recent rainfall.
Evacuees must call Public Works at 229-668-5423 to check availability before arriving.
Evacuees must vacate the campground by October 14 to accommodate campers arriving for Expo.

HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE
Hurricane Isaias is now considered a major hurricane, and the City of Moultrie is preparing for potential impacts. Please take precautions and stay informed as conditions develop.
SANDBAG PICKUP
Public Works crews are preparing sandbags for residents. City of Moultrie residents may pick up 10 sandbags per household at the City of Moultrie Service Center located at 1108 1st St NE during the following times:
• Friday: Until 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Beginning around 1:00 PM today, we could experience wind gusts of up to 30 MPH. Tonight, wind gusts could reach 35 MPH, with the strongest gusts expected between 6:00 PM and midnight. Please be advised that these conditions could possibly be more severe due to localized storm cells.
• Please use caution when driving. If you can stay home during the storm, please do so.
• If you must travel, avoid low-lying areas where flooding may occur.
• Never attempt to drive through standing water.

If you see downed trees, water over the road, or road washouts, please contact Public Works at 229-668-5423.
