17 Jun, 2021

In honor of Flag Day, the Daughters of the American Revolution John Benning Chapter, the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority, and the City of Moultrie teamed up to honor our great Mayor. During the Flag Day presentation on June 14 at Main Street Park, U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and City Councilman Daniel Dunn spoke about how important the Mayor has been to our community. Mayor McIntosh was elected in 1983 and has served the City of Moultrie for almost 38 years. The flag pole in Main Street Park was dedicated to our Mayor, and June 14 was declared Mayor William McIntosh Day! Mayor McIntosh was surprised and deeply touched by the presentation.
