The train near Downtown Moultrie used to travel the Georgia Northern Railway in the 1900s. The 105 railroad engine is the perfect representation of how Colquitt County began. Before trains came to town, there was no fast way to travel or move timber. Trains were a game-changer, fostering rapid growth in our area. The 105 railroad engine now permanently rests at the corner of 1st Avenue SE and 4th Street SE. Take a moment to stop by and look at this unique piece of history.
