In order to maintain safety standards and protect the public welfare in accordance with the state mandated minimum guidelines, and the Ordinances adopted by the City Council, the Building Division conducts inspections of buildings and developments throughout the city. The Building Division is focused on ensuring through permitting and inspections that all the codes of the City of Moultrie are followed, and that each and every building is safe for our community. The Building Division conducts inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with International Code Council codes and local codes and ordinances.
The Building Division teams up with other departments and the citizens of Moultrie to address and assist with the removal or renovation of blighted properties throughout the city.
