Hurricane Irma Update – Garbage Services Resume
13 Sep, 2017Garbage Customers: Normal residential garbage service will resume tomorrow.
The City of Moultrie Public Works Department will be picking up yard trimmings, both normal and storm debris.
We ask that you follow the below guidelines to help us clean our city more efficiently.
*Put out all yard trimmings, including storm debris, in their normal collection location, but it must not be located in the street, in the gutter, on the sidewalk, in the ditch, or on top of water meters.
*Yard trimmings must be placed alongside the property on which it was generated. Do not place yard trimmings on or in front of other persons’ properties. Yard trimmings, including leaves, straw, prunings, lawn clippings, and limbs, must be separated from other solid waste, such as garbage, household debris, paper, plastics, boards, and other construction materials. Residents who have mixed piles will be charged a fee.
*Limbs and tree trunks must be cut into four foot lengths so that our trucks can load them.
